LG Owners to Get Free Access to Popular Windows Phone 7 Applications

Cool news for LG WP7 owners - freebies from LG!

See the press release from MSFT here.

Looking at the LG apps store from my Opti7, there are the following already available:

1) Play To (vids/pix/tune on your DLNA compatible TV

2) Tool Box - World Clock, Flash Light, Spirit Level, World Holidays, Unit Convertor, Date Calc, Random Number, Sale price...lots of little thing you don't want clogging up your Apps Menu, but sometimes use anyways.

3) ScanSearch - excellent Augmented Reality app for finding nearby places in several categories like Restaurants, Hospitals, Banks etc. Shows you in real time where they are in front of you and how far, also gives a 'radar' view and point to the sky for current weather.

4) Panorama Shot...not as smooth as the Sony implementation on their cameras, but cool nevertheless.

5) Metro Scanner - tube station app for London (why not call it Tube Scanner?!)

6) Photo Stylist - fiddle with photos in fun ways, straight from your pictures hub, or fire up the app the traditional way.

7) I'm a Musician - Guitar. "If you don't know chords, it's not matter for playing the guitar" [sic]. Some crappy virtual guitar play.

8) I'm a Musician - Piano. ibid, for the piano. Arguably if you need these apps, you aren't a musician!
